Welcome to the 2025-2026 SASFAC Process
Timeline
| Month | Date | Action Item |
| October | Virtual Kick Off/Training. Budget packets emailed to Organizations by advisors with FY25 Actuals and previous years’ submission.
Prior to any budget construction, TSOS suggests holding Budget Forums where input is sought; ideally constituents and members. |

| November | November 21st | Draft Submission due: Organization constructs draft of all budget documents and submits to advisor(s) for review and comment. |
| November 30th | Advisors and Fiscal Officers will return comments to Organizations (in order they were received, if Storrs). | |
| December | After editing, President & Treasurer present budget packet to Organization for approval by formal vote. | |
| December 12th | Formally approved and signed documents submitted to SASFAC.
If seeking fee increase, next steps will be communicated by SASFAC. |

| Winter Break | No SASFAC activity unless seeking fee increase | |
| January | January 30th | If seeking fee increase, petition due to SASFAC. |
| End of January/Beginning of February | Organizations can participate in practice SASFAC presentations with staff and will be able to give and get feedback. | |
| February | Week of February 9th | Open Forum held by SASFAC for general student body input and/or questions |
| Week of February 9th | Hearings held by SASFAC for Trustee Organizations; President and Treasurer make a formal presentation and answer any questions |
